This is our new favourite walk of 2019. There are 3 different loops available. We did the full perimeter which took in the majority of the 3 loops. It’s way-marked and there’s a decent, mostly flat track. One kilometre of the lower loop is on the road. There’s roadside parking options close to and on the three bridges crossing the reservoir. We parked at the middle of the reservoir. It was beautifully scenic all the way around with views of the mountains and lush forest trails. Although there were weather warnings and there was hail, sleet and cold gusts at times, it was mostly sunny and we really enjoyed the day.
