Based on the advice of fellow hikers, we incorporated Massy’s Wood into our walk and it truly was the highlight of the walk. The minute we stepped into Massy’s Wood we were enchanted by the magical woodland with majestic trees, the sounds of the rolling stream and birdsong. Then on we went to do a loop of the Hell Fire Club, which boasts impressive views of the Dublin coastline and the Dublin mountains all the way around. The Hell Fire Club is renowned for sightings of the Devil and black magic and when we were walking between the dark shadowy trees we felt an eeriness…. 😱 But it was the inside of the dark and gloomy Hellfire house itself that really gave us the creeps.
